Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University and the University of North Florida with a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance.
This Fall, Rebecca won third place in the UNF Opera Aria Competition and performed in UNF Opera’s production of Così Fan Tutte by W. A. Mozart as Despina, the chambermaid. This Spring, she is playing the role of Ida in Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss. She is actively teaching and performing in the Jacksonville area.
During her time at PBAU, she competed in the Dr. Robert Sharon Choral Competition and won first place in both classical and musical theatre categories. She has performed in various opera productions, and ensembles, and as a soloist for the PBAU Concert Choir and Oratorio Chorus. She has performed with Palm Beach Opera as a Chorus member in their grand opera production of Turandot at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts as well as their production of Pagliacci during their outdoor 2021 festival. At the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition (NATS), she was a District Winner for Musical Theatre. In the Classical category, she placed 2nd at Districts and was a Regional Finalist.
She has taught Elementary Music as well as Middle and High School Theatre. This past summer, she taught voice and playwriting at a theater camp in South Florida. She is an active member of FMEA, FVA, ACDA, FEMEA, and ACSI. Rebecca is so thankful for the opportunity to teach music and theatre while encouraging students to become better artists.
